Top tips for submitting news stories and events

Published by admin on

The first few pages in The Sharp End are dedicated to showcasing readers’ achievements and updating everyone with important news and developments, relevant to the piercing industry. So, if at any time you’ve got a story to share, don’t hesitate to send it across to us for consideration – it may well appear in print!

Here are some tips and guidelines to help you with your submission…

  • Content: Has your studio or supply company recently won an award, held an event, celebrated an anniversary, opened new premises, or carried out a charity fundraiser? These are the kinds of stories we want to hear!
  • Length: Two or three paragraphs would be great if possible (up to approximately 200 words), giving all the key details and preferably including a short quote from someone involved.
  • Imagery: If you have a photo to go with the story, do send that across as well. It would need to be high resolution for print, but a phone with a good camera should do the job.
  • Events: We’d also love to hear about any events you may be holding in the future, which are relevant and open to your fellow piercing professionals to attend, as these can be added to our calendar of key industry happenings. Just send us the name of the event, the dates and times, the location and contact details/web address.

Please don’t worry if you’re not a confident writer – so long as you’ve included all the important details, and triple checked that they are accurate, that’s all that matters.

Send your submissions to editor@the-sharp-end.co.uk – we’re looking forward to hearing from you!
